Amazing Wheel Restoration From Super Rusty To Mirror Chrome
I decided to try to restore a very old and super rusty car sprae wheel by giving it a chrome mirror new look.
At first, I tried to remove the rust mechanically, but I realized that it would not be possible to do without sandblasting. The sandblasted rim has been painted with 99% zinc cover to protect the rim from corrosion. I covered some of the gouges and pits with putty, followed by a sanding process and a coat of black paint.
I mixed chemicals to prepare chromium solutions according to special formulas. This was followed by Hydrochroming, a continuous process where a chemical reaction coated the rim with a film of chrome. This work was interesting for me, if you liked it, please share and press Like on this video.
If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them in the comments.

Переглядів 6 тис.8 місяців тому
ABANDONED LAWN TRACTOR - Will it Run? I found this tractor at my grandparents farm, many people ask how long it has been abandoned, but I don't have an exact answer to that question. It stood for at least a few years. I decided to try to revive it and try to start it. Before starting work, I decided to change the engine oil, air filter, fuel filter, spark plug. Also, this Kohler engine has a fo...
Story Of 50 Years Ago Abandoned Aston Martin DB4

Barn finds are awesome, but it's not often that we see old cars being 'discovered' in the open air among wooded farmland. That's exactly what's happened with this rusty DB4.

How To Clean & Restore Coolant Tank - PERMANENTLY
Переглядів 8 млн3 роки тому
Its been 5 years and I haven't cleaned my car coolant tank, therefore, I decided to use an easy method to clean it. Things I used in cleaning: 1. H₃NSO₃ - Sulphamic Acid Mixture; 2. Sonax Ultra Cleaner; 3. Dishwasher salt; It was the hardest to get the results was the yellowness of the coolant tank. Scrubbing is dead useless here, since the yellowness you can see on coolant tanks is the result ...
Alfa Romeo GTV Rocker Cover & Intake Manifold Restoration
Переглядів 99 тис.4 роки тому
I found this 20-year-old Alfa Romeo GTV V6 engine rocker cover and intake manifold very cheap and thought it would make a perfect restoration project. This is one of the dirtiest, most burnt on and badly cast rocker covers I have come across. Making it an ideal candidate for a Restoration video.

凄い! 1本出来るのに何分掛かるのかな?
All that effort etc for a stock steel wheel 🙄
How do you move your hand that fast?
I call bullcrap on this. Why waste so much time when you can buy steelies for a lot less than going through this time wasting process.
One.
no gloves amazing
there is no way that this is the same rim how did he get all that rust out from the front crease where it's stamped together sorry I call bullshit. plus that rim was so pitted again I call bullshit
Turns out it's the same rim :) You didn't realize that these 10 minutes are the concentrate of many hours of work.
Only three more to go.
Cool, cool, and now, as the mechanics say, there are still 3 left XDDD If the mechanics had so much fun with one rim, these rims would cost a fortune.
I would've thought chrome plating bath would've been the steps involved in this process. Never heard of hydrochroming before. Looks neat.
this process can chrome wood materials as well.
Waste of time
Thank you for watching, I hope you don't waste your time..
Amazing job but....why waste that time and resources on a steel, cheap wheel?
wasn't it interesting to see the whole process to make it possible?
@@LowMileageChannel it was super interesting and, as i sayed, amazing job. Im just honestly curious to which point is it worth to restore such a cheap equipment to that state...Im not demoralizing what u did.
Not worth the effort
何をしているのか字幕を入れて欲しい
Strip it and paint it basically… 😑
hi , Is it possible to choose the combination of chemicals used to make chrome solution?!
Amazing job, thanks for sharing.
I will never buy anything named Progressive.
На алюминий можно положить такой хром?
без проблем
I don't get why ppl hate on the guy, maybe this is just his hobby. The fake ambient I do agree makes the vid less watchable tho
Looks great, what a difference
So you waste time at start with wire wheel than you sand blast it ...why such stupidity
Everyone has the same questions,it’s a waste of time to make a Video of something without explaining anything such as what Chemicals, Ratios, mixtures, so that others may try this instead we get to see the Danger of how to smash your hand lose a finger and how to weigh Cocaine on a micro Weight scale,Laughable at best ,I assume you want my Thumbs up and Subscribe Right?
Thanks for the comment, you raise the video views and ranking.
The fake workshop noises are so irritating lmaooooo
There's never been, nor will there ever be, a stamped steel rim worth that much effort.
i think more it was just a case of him seeing if he could overcome the odds, lol

Commercially you may well be correct but on a personal level I disagree.
3 more to go!
It turned out so well the I suspected a new part was purchased and swapped for the “after”.
Gerat job
What chemicals used for chrome?
Several components, basically the reductant and modifier mix and a chemical reaction takes place.
Ale že je to kolo křivé a šišaté vám nevadí. Hlavně když se leskne 🤦♂️
Looks Great!
Pretty cool, but isnt a new set of steelies relatively cheap?
I think the whole process was for the video.
Wtf are these annoying mechanic noises with reverb?
How you chrome that with plastic spray bottles ?????
This is hydrochrome chemical chrome solution.
I got the same results but with different grit sandpaper and soapy water. Very time consuming but worth it.
Wie lange hält der Lack?
Repairing a curved wheel is madness, and a waste of money. It's cheaper to buy a new one.
high risk of breaking your hand and arm 5:30 !!!!!
What do you mean lol
@@MauriceNL1i think he meant. 5:03
great video! any link please to share this magic chrome finish formula, craving for it right now.
Coming soon!
@@LowMileageChannel can you say The grain of The sandpapers and name of materials and paints please??
What sorcery is this?
chemistry and magic indeed have this affinity!
Nice resilt, but personally i hate chrome wheels , well done
Amazing
I need Chrome combination, can you post the combination tutorial?
Plan to make video for this.
It's a shame that it's painted rather than polished.
It would Rust the first day you drove it in the rain, unless you polish it then clear coat it
Nice job.
Its amazing !!! how you did this?? ITS AMAZING!!!!! NICE JOB!!!
Красота ❤
so you spent $50 on acid and used the wife's dish washer to clean and repair a $20 part.......... Just buy a new one. Sometimes cleaning and repairing doesn't make sense time wise of financially.
